My Story...

Hi All! And welcome to my world and passion for fitness. My name is Tony Palladino and I'm a corporate dropout and current fitness professional based in San Diego, CA. It's my mission to make a real impact on people's lives through health, wellness & fitness. My training philosophy centers around the belief that everyone should train smarter so that they can live better, and that's what I aim to provide with my coaching around fitness and nutrition. In practice, everyone has to "earn their stripes" for their fitness, and that's exactly what I've had to do throughout various phases of my life...

My fitness journey began when I turned 13 years old when my Dad gifted me my first gym membership to Gold's Gym.

It was gritty, it was sweaty and I loved every second of it.

Not many people figured I would last long there, but I was the only kid working out at that facility for years. This played a huge role in my development as a young man, as my Dad showed me the basics of working out, pushing myself and teaching me discipline.

In high school, I joined the wrestling team to challenge myself and try something new. I had zero experience, but what I did have was a ton of grit and heart that I developed from training with my Dad. That helped propel me to varsity level after two seasons and compete with the best wrestlers in the state.

To this day, it has still been the most grueling and arduous workout regimen I have ever done, but it taught me the value of teamwork and pushing through hard times.

During college, I landed a front desk job at LA Fitness. I started edging my way into sales and worked closely with personal trainers there for years. I also obtained my first personal training certification during this time to have something in my back pocket in case I ever needed it. I still look back fondly at that job and I simply loved building relationships with people at the gym.

After graduating from the University of San Diego with a degree in Finance, I tried my hand at Corporate America. I started working in San Francisco at a fintech company and life was set on cruise control.

It was fun at first - I was the desktop warrior that lived for the weekend without a care in the world. But after five years, my outlook on my career started to sour as a pit began to swirl in my stomach - like something was trying to call out to me saying I was on the wrong path.

I soon realized I wasn't living the life I was meant to have, and I was without purpose or vision.

This all came to a boiling point in 2020 at the height of COVID when my Dad suffered a devastating stroke. I never felt so lost, sad and scared before in my entire life. Suddenly I was thrust into the role of caretaker with my sister, and we had to do what we could to get my father the care he needed.

I remember long days in the hospital that seemed to last an eternity, and I saw my greatest hero suddenly torn down and become extremely vulnerable. There he was - the man who taught me so much growing up - suddenly bedridden and in need of help.

This changed everything for me: how I looked at health, how I perceived my life path, and what was really important to me.

After months of working through occupational & physical therapy, we got him into a better place. It was here where I started to think about my next steps....my purpose...my vision.

So I came up with a plan: leave the corporate world and start my own training business out of my garage. It was a huge risk, and the timing was far from perfect, but I was willing to do anything it took to make it work.

And trust me, there were some times where I could have easily packed it in and gone back to doing what I was doing before....but I refused. And after a lot of time building it up, things started to finally fall into place.

My work and training is now in dedication to my father, to my clients, and to others who are willing to take the leap of faith on themselves. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to unlock something greater within themselves - they just have to be willing to put in the work to get there.

So for you reading this: it's never too late to make a change, no matter how lost you may feel at times. And if you feel compelled to make a real change in your life, then there's no better place to start than with your health and fitness, as the benefits of starting here go well beyond just the physical changes.

The discipline, accountability and confidence you gain from taking care of your body will have a trickle down effect into nearly every single aspect of your life. Simply put, you'll be put on a real path for growth.
